BRG Group and SeABank Donate VND 5 billion for Disaster Relief Efforts in Central and Northern Vietnam
Hanoi, November 25 – In a swift response to severe flooding and natural disasters, BRG Group and Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank), alongside their member companies, have donated VND 5 billion to support recovery efforts. The contribution was formally presented to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for allocation to affected communities.
Recent consecutive storms and extreme weather have caused devastating losses across several central and northern provinces. The disasters have resulted in significant human impact, along with severe damage to property, infrastructure, and production activities. Tens of thousands of households have been affected, with many areas isolated, severely disrupting livelihoods and daily life.
To aid those impacted, BRG Group, SeABank and member companies in BRG Group ecosystem launched an internal campaign calling on employees to donate one day's salary. The initiative garnered overwhelming support from leadership and over 22,000 staff members nationwide, reflecting a strong collective spirit.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen, Deputy General Director of BRG Group, shared: "This donation embodies the compassion of our entire workforce and reinforces our three-decade-long commitment to social responsibility and community support. Standing with our fellow citizens in times of need is a core value of our ecosystem."

The total donation comprises VND 3 billion from BRG Group and its member companies and VND 2 billion from SeABank. The funds are intended to provide timely resources for rebuilding homes, restoring livelihoods, and stabilising living conditions for affected residents. Additionally, the group has implemented internal support programs for its own employees residing in disaster-stricken areas, offering both material and moral support to help affected families weather these challenges.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman and Secretary General of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, expressed deep gratitude for the meaningful support. "As climate change leads to more frequent and severe natural disasters, the solidarity and shared efforts of businesses and society are increasingly crucial. This contribution provides essential, practical resources for relief and recovery work," she remarked.
For years, BRG Group, SeABank, and member companies within the BRG ecosystem have maintained a steadfast commitment to social responsibility and community welfare. Their contributions have encompassed the construction of charity and solidarity houses, support for the “Fund for the Poor” and the “For Vietnamese Children” Scholarship Fund, donations to various study promotion funds, and the provision of aid to communities recovering from natural disasters.
These timely and practical actions not only demonstrate the enterprises’ commitment to the community but also help spread compassion and solidarity, joining hands to overcome difficulties and work toward a better life for people nationwide.
