BRG Group Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Nga Conferred with Title of Hero of Labour in the Renewal Period

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Member of the Politburo and President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; leaders of the Party and State; leaders of central ministries, departments, and branches, the Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi City, and other localities; representatives of embassies and diplomatic missions; as well as distinguished delegates and domestic and international partners.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Tran Thanh Man, President of the National Assembly, highly appreciated the journey of dedication of Hero of Labour Nguyen Thi Nga, which has been closely linked to important stages in the country’s development, particularly the renewal process.

With strategic thinking, resilience, and a willingness to think boldly, act decisively, and take responsibility, together with an “entrepreneurial spirit” and a strong aspiration to contribute, she has worked with her team to build a large-scale economic, service, and financial enterprise with strong governance capacity and high competitiveness, consistently pursuing a business path linked to national interests, responsibility toward employees, and sustainable value for society.

The President of the National Assembly, Tran Thanh Man, expressed his hope that Hero of Labour Nguyen Thi Nga would continue to maintain a pioneering vision, act with resolve, and pursue strong development; build a successor team with strong character, intellect, business ethics, and a commitment to serving the nation; continue to strengthen her role as a bridge between the business community and relevant authorities, contributing to policy development; uphold a pioneering spirit and national responsibility; and promote corporate culture, care for employees’ well-being, and actively participate in social welfare programmes.

The President of the National Assembly expressed confidence that, building on the foundation already established, under the leadership of Hero of Labour Nguyen Thi Nga and with the solidarity and responsibility of the entire organisation, BRG Group will continue to advance as a pioneer, realise its global aspirations, and make worthy contributions to building an independent, self-reliant Vietnamese economy that develops rapidly and sustainably as the country enters a new era of prosperity, civilisation, and happiness.

A Journey of Creating Practical Values for the Nation
The value-creation journey of Hero of Labour Nguyen Thi Nga originates from the business philosophy that enterprises must produce products that improve quality of life, generate employment, and contribute directly to the nation's development.
In 1993, she established her first export enterprise, laying the foundation for the formation of BRG Group. Since then, BRG has gradually grown into a leading multi-sector private economic-service group operating in many essential fields, providing jobs for over 22,000 employees and making sustainable contributions to the State budget.
With the aspiration to "bring the world's finest to Vietnam and take Vietnamese values to the world," Hero of Labour Nguyen Thi Nga has realised this vision through strategic partnerships with Hilton, Marriott International, IHG, Accor, Sumitomo Corporation, and many other world-leading corporations. Through these collaborations, management knowledge, technology, and international operational expertise have been transferred; Vietnamese human resources have been trained; and numerous high-quality projects, products, and services have been created.
Notably, driven by her love for national culture, she has devoted herself wholeheartedly to restoring and developing Chu Dau Ceramics, a traditional Vietnamese ceramic line embodying national identity since the 15th century. To date, Chu Dau ceramic artefacts are present in 46 museums across 32 countries, becoming a “cultural ambassador” representing Vietnamese talent, intellect, and identity on the map of international integration.

Making National Service a Guiding Principle
For Hero of Labour Nguyen Thi Nga, enterprise development is always intertwined with national responsibility and the creation of practical values for the community.

During the 2024–2025 period alone, BRG Group allocated nearly VND 600 billion to social welfare programmes and essential infrastructure development. Nearly 3,800 houses were newly built or repaired for disadvantaged families, people with meritorious contributions to the nation, and policy beneficiary households.
The Group also dedicated resources to building schools, supporting medical facilities, awarding scholarships, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and epidemics, and planting millions of trees across many localities, contributing to environmental protection, ecosystem restoration, and creating additional livelihoods for local communities.

Alongside business management, Hero of Labour Nguyen Thi Nga actively participates in policy advocacy, market connection, sharing governance experience, and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives, and women-owned businesses through professional organisations and associations.

Prior to the title of Hero of Labour in the Renewal Period, Nguyen Thi Nga was awarded the First, Second, and Third-Class Labour Orders; the title of National Emulation Fighter; and Outstanding Citizen of the Capital, along with numerous prestigious domestic and international awards.

Turning Honour into Responsibility and Action
In her acceptance speech at the ceremony, Hero of Labour Nguyen Thi Nga expressed her profound emotion, pride, and deep gratitude for the attention of the Party, the State, ministries, departments, localities, partners, and the community. She affirmed that the prestigious title of Hero of Labour and the First-Class Labour Order also recognise the intellect, discipline, sense of responsibility, and dedication of herself and over 22,000 BRG Group employees.

"We will translate these prestigious honours into concrete actions, higher standards across every project, product, and service, and greater practical value to serve the nation," Hero of Labour Nguyen Thi Nga affirmed.

On the new journey ahead, Hero of Labour Nguyen Thi Nga and BRG Group commit to placing national interests above all else; upholding discipline and the rule of law; and taking science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green transition as drivers of development. The Group will continue to improve product and service quality, care for the well-being of its employees, fulfil its responsibilities to the community, and serve society.
