
- Development of buying programs through selected vendors. Responsible for buying of soft goods, hard goods and accessories according to industry trends, product mix requirements and prescribed buying and promotion plans;
- Recruits, trains & supervises all staff required for operating guidelines for all golf related retail sales;
- Coordinates inventory management and maintenance in accordance with approved buying plan;
- Coordinates the ordering of merchandise for special events, such as member Tournaments;
- Controls all shop merchandise displays in an orderly and appealing manner to encourage maximum sales including customizing displays for each facility;
- Other tasks as reasonably requested by the Division Director.
- Degree Holder (One of Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Design, Retail Management or related field);
- Two to four years of merchandising experience at least two of which should have been spent as a manager in golf retail sales or buying, inventory management, merchandising, or product marketing;
- Knowledge of the principles of golf retail sales including regional trends, merchandising and marketing;
- Skill in color coordination, product display, and in creating effective working relationships with shop staff and vendors;
- Strong management & reporting ability;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to cope with strict deadlines and time demands.
