ASEAN BUSINESS AWARDS 2020: HONORS THE BEST BUSINESSES IN THE REGION

On November 13, 2020, the ASEAN BUSINESS AWARDS (ABA) 2020 ceremony will be held in Hanoi to honor the best enterprises in the region, as they are not only developing in a stable manner but also making significant contributions to the prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The event takes place at Daewoo Hanoi Hotel with the participation of this year's award-winning businesses and hundreds of domestic and international guests including leaders at all levels, planners, policy consultants and leading enterprises in the region.

The event will be held after the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) 2020. The ceremony is not only an opportunity for businesses in the region to be honored for demonstrating their importance to the ASEAN economy; at the same time, it is also an opportunity for the global business community to better understand the solidarity and strength of ASEAN businesses, thereby promoting trade, investment, and economic integration.

The ABA 2020 ceremony will be streamed live online from 6pm on November 13 on the official channels of ABIS 2020 and ABA 2020 as well as other major media outlets including Tien Phong newspaper and The World & Vietnam newspaper, with all channels expected to attract a large number of followers in Vietnam and further afield.

This year's event honors 58 businesses and entrepreneurs with 62 awards. All nominations of businesses and entrepreneurs are graded based on strict criteria inherited from 13 years of the award's history and innovations to suit the changes of the economy and society in 2020.

After passing a very strict selection round, the winners of ABA 2020 this year also passed the grading round of the jury consisting of 10 judges – who are all leading scholars and economists representing the 10 ASEAN member states.

This year's ABA awards carries a very special meaning as businesses perform in the most difficult circumstances in the global economy. With the business's important dedication to today's socioeconomic needs, these enterprises deserve to be honored, and this is exactly what ABA 2020 aims to achieve.
